What used to be the main reading room of the former Biblioteca Nacional (the National Library) was selected for this Tribute to Borges, which has taken shape as the site-specific installation Flying Books. Some 500 books are suspended in the air, and as they stir in a soft breeze, their colors, shapes and sizes bring back to life this unique space. A number of contemporary ballet and musical works will be performed in this room during this two-month-long installation. Ballet companies participating in these events will be invited to merge their choreographies into the installation.
